Neighborhood Watch
Neighborhood Watch is an organized group of citizens working to prevent crime and vandalism in their community. Members stay alert to unusual or suspicious activity in their neighborhood and contact law enforcement when such activity occurs. Neighborhood Watch is one of the oldest and best known crime prevention concepts in North America, dating back to the 1960’s. In 1972 the National Sheriff’s Association created the National Neighborhood Watch Program so that citizens can be the eyes and ears of local law enforcement.
