Inspection Begins
Two strange men are being seen throughout Stoneybrook and Lighthouse Cove poking and peering into our storm drains, lakes and wildness areas. They are Bill Riley of CAS Asset Management and Matt Morris of Morris Engineering and Consulting.
They have been hired by our Community Development District – South (CDD-South) to inspect all of the infrastructure of both Stoneybrook and Lighthouse Cove. Since these communities have been built there has been no comprehensive inspection of the storm water , irrigation and roadway systems.
“Its better to do maintenance and inspections now to help avoid flooding later on,” observed Lee Bettes, one of our four homeowners on the CDD-South Board. “No one likes to spend money on plumbing. However we are responsible for the entire storm water run off in our area. This inspection will cost all of us $14,500 or about $10 per homeowner.”
“When they are done we will have a prioritized list of every nook and cranny within our District that needs maintenance and repair.”
“Bill Riley and Matt Morris helped build our community. They are the perfect people to do this inspection,” according to Gene Aulenbach, a Stoneybrook resident. “Bill knows every pipe from when he worked for Lennar. Matt worked at Banks engineering that designed all of Heritage Harbour.”
Matt and Bill hope to finish their physical inspection this month and have a final report for the May CDD meeting.
